Course Description
This workshop will cover 3 topics that are associated with Responsible Conduct of Research training: research with animals, conflicts of interest, and the importance of good laboratory practices. We will review case studies on these topics so that participants can discuss how to handle challenging ethical scenarios.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- understanding regulatory and University requirements for research involving animals (Note: research with human subjects is a separate workshop)
- define potential Conflicts of Interest and associated University policies and procedures
- identify good laboratory practices and safety requirements (if applicable to research projects)
