Happy 2019 everyone!
Many changes are in store for the Office of Research this year and our Research Protections unit is included.
January is a month of new regulations for Human Subjects. Most of the impact to Appalachian State researchers will be minimal or even a reduction in requirements. This is a lot like taping the wings onto the plane as it rolls down the runway, so relax and watch this space for updates and explanations. We will put out content and guidance after Standard Operating Procedures and the online applications are updated.
In addition, our website FINALLY moved to Drupal 7 and we are taking full advantage this year by updating and streamlining content, moving forms to online forms, and giving you updates via this space!
There are many exciting projects in the works in our office and we look forward to providing support to your research. More on these intitiatives to come...
